Regex: email address
/^[\w.+-]+@[\w-]+(\.[\w-]+)+$/ Test it live How it works
Local part (letters, digits, dots, plus, hyphen), an @, then a domain of at least two dot-separated labels. The + addressing form (user+tag@…) is deliberately allowed — many services use it.
Honest caveats
Fully validating email with a regex is a fool's errand — the RFC 5321 grammar allows quoted spaces and more. This pattern is the pragmatic 99% filter; real validation is sending a confirmation mail.
